“Wake Your Dream” is the best way to describe Torie Guilliot Roberts, founder of the nonprofit organization, Because Of Brucey . Torie told me when she started this organization that it has always been her dream to help animals. Many of us have dreams but not the courage to follow them. I’m so proud of this amazing young woman that I can truly call a rescuer and friend.
I adopted the sweetest white and orange kitten from Because of Brucey. Torie provided all the support and information about this kitten possible to ensure a successful adoption. Torie has solid information possible on each kitten that is ready to be adopted. Torie spends endless hours day and night catering to each kitten’s needs. She provided me with photos and videos of the kitten I chose to adopt. I named my kitten Gumbo since her organization is based in Louisiana and I live in Texas. Her supportive husband Alan M Roberts drove my precious cargo from Louisiana to Texas to meet me. What a loving and caring couple!”

Because of Brucey has helped me when I needed it. My service dog, Tootsie broke her leg back in September of 2024; it cost over $6000 with pet insurance. Because of Brucey, helped pay for what the pet insurance didn’t pay for. They helped pay for medication and any unexpected expense that came up. Torie and her team are truly amazing. She has a heart for animals and caring for the needy. We are in need rescues like Because of Brucey. They save and give back to the community. I don’t know where I would be if it wasn’t for their charity helping out.
